Rusty's Retirement
The game by Mister Morris Games that introduced me to the wonderful world of idle gaming and presented to many "the bottom of your screen" genre of game. If it is the first time, you've heard of this game, it is a wholesome cozy farm simulation game that runs passively while playing other games or working on your computer on the same screen or a next door screen. It is a pixel art cozy game that is for a chill cozy gamer who enjoys automation, building and farming.There is also a Twitch integration feature that lets your chatters farm with Rusty. I show you some of the highlights of my first time trying it out down below.
The solo developer constantly adds fresh content and keeps the game exciting. Speaking of exciting, Rusty's retirement collaborated with the game Vampire Survivors in April 2025, where you can experience the game with a bat and garlic twist.
Cornerpond
In this game by foolsroom you fish at the corner of your screen over 100 types of fish. You can buy upgrades, catch rare fish, and customize your avatar at your own pace!
Ropuka's Idle Island
Ropuka's Idle Island developped by Moczan, Little Chmura, and Begoña Pereda is a playable sticker for your desktop that you can put anywhere on your screen while you focus on other tasks as the little frog tends to his garden with lofi music, nature sounds or complete silence.
Tiny Pasture
This casual game developed by CaveLiquid is an idle management game where your charming little farm keeps you company while you work or study at the bottom of your screen. Feed them, pet them, let your cursor play with them and even help them reproduce and bring new born animals to your pasture.
Gourdlets
This sandbox city builder game by AuntyGames can be played full screen or in an idle window mode at the bottom of your screen. There are no objectives, no point system, or economy. Build the land as little or as much as you would like by adding constructions and community areas to watch your vegetable citizens populate the spaces and enjoy!

In this idle game by Destroyer Doggo, you help Bao Bao, a panda, create the coziest laundromat by purchasing colorful washing machines, plants, vending machines, comfy furniture, adding delightful decorations, and hiring panda helpers. The laundromat will keep open, even when you're off doing other things, allowing you to return to your store whenever you're ready. This relaxing game gives you your very own miniature underwater world right at your fingertips. It is developed by Gabreu Senra and lets you nurture your own little aquarium by choosing your fish and thoughtfully arranging decorations as you progress in the game.
Tiny Terraces (upcoming)
A cozy idle farming game created by VuVuu at the side or bottom, of your screen where you create and watch tiny guys do tasks around the terrace, expand, progress, and decorate your Tiny Terrace.
Sulo the Sidekick (upcoming)
This game by Ruby Ursus gives us a pet, Sulo, who is working on his own career as you do other things on your computer. He can be placed anywhere on your screen and sized to your liking. Help Sulo balance work & play, progress in his job, and spend his earned cash on fun rewards while keeping track of your screen time.
Not Monday Cafe (upcoming)
This chill cafe management game has you grow, cook and serve food to customers and even bring in your Twitch or Youtube Chat with the in game integration.
